Unbiased reporting

3.9 Outcome data for people with aphasia should be reported in a full and unbiased manner to people with aphasia and their families.

Reference: Rose et al., 2003: Pre and post experimental design
NHMRC level of Evidence: GPP

Rationale: Providing outcome data ensures that people with aphasia and their families have a clear understanding of what has been done in aphasia rehabilitation and how effective or ineffective it has been. It will provide them with the best basis to make informed choices regarding future engagement in intervention. Progress updates and outcome data should be provided in aphasia-friendly formats for people with aphasia, to promote their understanding (Rose et al., 2003).
